for dinner tonight...

we had scallops and mango and wheat pasta but not before i finished my third pair of socks and i like them!!! they are made from a cotton & wool blend yarn from regia. as i said this is my third pair. the first was all wool and very large but it was more or less an exercise and i liked it and my guy is nice enough to wear them ocassionally to please me! so i moved on to all cotton with some elastic and used a lacey pattern which was very pretty and the yarn was way cool but lacey pattern on socks is not my idea of a comfortable sock, especially since they were bulky enough that i would have worn them with loafers or tennis shoes or more likely with boots since i don't wear tennis shoes and these were just not me so i gave them to my mom who loves seamless socks and loves mauve...she must have the fanciest socks on the golf course! now these socks are just the right size and the yarn is very comfortable but...you knew there would be a but... when i cast on the second sock i made the stitches a wee bit tighter than the first sock and it's too tight on my leg unless i slouch them and they are too warm for me with the bit of wool in them but who cares i don't wear socks in the summer at all and i didn't make them for myself i made them for the guy and they aren't too tight on his leg.
what's up with that? do i have fat legs? i must, i remember once my mom told me i had fat legs, never mind that everyone else asks if i eat or if i'm anorexic, she said i had FAT legs but come to think of it lately no one has said are you anorexic so...well anyway. the socks are done and they fit their rightful owner and i'm off to start another pair...and to watch the second half of the broken trail on the big tv!!! later love g

Hi! I found your website through the Self Portrait Challenge. I just love your knits- I knit as well, but I am a beginner and I hope to be as good as you one day! :)
